Heading to the beach without your own kit? Waves Surf School offers surfboard and wetsuit hire by prior arrangement in St Merryn, right in the heart of North Cornwall’s surf coast — perfectly placed for Harlyn Bay, Constantine & Booby’s Bay, Porthcothan and Mawgan Porth. Whether you’re topping up a lesson, taking family and friends out for the day, or just need a wetsuit for the week, we’ll get you kitted out with well-maintained, beginner-friendly equipment before you head down to the water.
Wetsuits and surfboards can be hired out to students after lessons or we can offer delivery to where you are staying by prior arrangement.
Surf Board Hire
From soft-top beginner boards that make catching your first wave easier and safer, through to boards suited to improvers finding their feet, we keep a range of sizes so you’re not fighting the wrong board for your ability.
All our surfboards have been carefully selected to help you learn and progress your surfing to the next level. All models have been tried and tested in the surf school and are super fun to ride.

Wetsuit Hire
Cornish water stays cold even in summer, so a wetsuit that actually fits makes all the difference. We hold sizes for adults and children, All the wetsuits we use are blind stitched and chosen to keep you warm whatever the season. We offer 3/2mm in summer , 4/3mm and 5/4mm depending upon there season, so you stay in the water longer and enjoy it more.
